Sappho 23 was a denim project inspired by the work of Ancient Greek Poetess; Sappho. Saphho is most well known for her writing about intimacy between women. Her name and homeplace Lesbos gave name to lesbian/sapphic communities. 
This project reflects on the romanticism, eroticism and elegance of her poetry. 
The following are photographs I took in a shoot as part of my visual research for this denim project.
